SIRP commissioned an independent study by Sapio Research which included interviewing 250 security analysts in July 2020. According to the results, more than half of security analysts are frustrated with the lack of progress over mundane tasks and the lack of automation. The average Security Operations Center (SOC) leaves plenty of room for improvement. However, the problem of missed alerts, minimal automation and false positive is still existent. Time spent managing security alerts costs enterprise an average of $250,000 a year.
